For a while now, there have been rumors that a new racing team has been formed here in the UK specifically to race in an ever growing league know as Grid Motorsports World Cup (GMWC), also there have been rumors that the team owner and No1 driver is currently still in employment with team Scuderia DeLoyer (otherwise known as SDL) up until the end of season, this person goes by the name of Chris Jones.
We received a tip off that this new team called RAC Racing, was due to be testing at a track not too far from the team's base, some 60 miles west at a track called Pembrey in Llanelli, South Wales. And it turns out that the team have used this track for some time over the past weeks, and are booked up for at least another 3 test sessions between now and the end of the current 2008c season.
After initial communication with the team proved fruitless, there was confirmation from them that the team will make a full press conference in just over two weeks. Photo's of one of the test sessions are provided below.

Seattle, WA November 11, 2008 - SDL team members have been hampered in their recent attempts to attain the top spots in the GMWC's Hot Lap Rankings by severe allergic reactions resulting in watery eyes, sneezing, and in some cases, severe hives.
"It's terrible" said team member Matt Lewis. "You get maybe one good lap in and then your eyes tear up and the track just disappears from view." "The stuff in the air is so bad at GP-200 that Dennis hasn't been able to complete a single timed lap! The event promoters really need to get a handle on this situation ASAP."
When asked for a comment, team owner Dennis Loyer replied "Yeah, who knew most of our team would be so allergic to monkey fur? Maybe it's shedding season or something. All I know is the Rusyn drivers need a good brushing before going out on the track. Even if you're not allergic, all that loose fur gums up your intake something fierce. But hey,at least we're holding on to the top spots in the TC, DC and Rolling Rankings"
GMWC officials made no comment, other than to say they were looking into the complaints made against the Rusyn drivers by the SDL team management

As of this writing, a Rusyn driver sits atop the Hot Lap Rankings (HLR), with all 4 rank laps done in a rusyn-8c/kosice-03/hel/J grid-gp car.
Note that all grid car types are allowed in the HLR, including the very high powered grid-f1, which makes the Rusyn all that much more impressive. Given this, clearly the SDL team must be cheating in the championships, so a private investigation into wrong doing by SDL staff and drivers has been initiated. Reports are that gold painted lead zeppelins have been found duct taped to Rusyn diffusors after recent races, causing both mass and aero based performance losses. (Maybe SDL has gotten too cheap to use all gold zeppelins anymore).

Seattle, WA November 05, 2008 –Dennis Loyer, owner of the Seattle based Scuderia DeLoyer racing team, has signed a one race sponsorship deal with the US Army. In exchange for an undisclosed amount, Mr. Loyer's car will sport a distinctive livery consisting of digi-cam camouflage, the Army logo and the "Army Strong" slogan, at this weekend's race in Brazil.
"It's all in honor of the Veteran's Day holicay next week" said Mr. Loyer. "And as a veteran myself, I couldn't be happier to have been chosen. Plus, it pays pretty well too".
SDL officials state that Mr. Loyer's car will return to it's familiar red on black after the race at Interlagos.

The GMWC is unveiling a new way to enjoy casually-competitive simulation motorsports: The Hot Lap Ranking (HLR) Competition.
The HLR is a 'perpetual' competition, much like the Rolling Rankings, but it has several distinct differences. First, as the name implies, it's focus is hot lapping, rather than racing or racecraft. Second, it is completely independent from the league's events and the results of those events. That latter point is perhaps the most critical, and is in fact the motivation for the HLR's existence.
As a league, we strive to provide opportunities for league members to indulge their affection for motorsports on both a competitive and social level, and for league members to be able to participate as fully as possible despite the demands of their normal lives. While the forum and the practice server are always available to fill that social role, the league's existing set of competitive opportunities were such that they left some of our league members 'out in the cold', so to speak, merely because those members aren't able to regularly participate in the events.
So we created the HLR as a complement to our current competitions, and crafted it such that it fills a niche that has heretofore been neglected.
Specifically, the HLR is an individual driver competition where each driver has at all times a single score. That score is simply the cumulative time for the fastest laps achieved by that driver on each of a fixed list of tracks. The list is short, currently 4 tracks, and so the HLR score for a driver would consist of the sum of just 4 lap times - the fastest lap achieved by the driver on each of the 4 tracks. The faster you are, the lower your cumulative time will be, and the higher your HLR score will be.
Keep reading for the full details of the HLR...

Seattle, WA October 20th, 2008 - All is not right here in the Seattle headquarters of Scuderia DeLoyer. Rumors of a team member's imminent departure, rumors regarding the team owner's sanity, and rumors of financial difficulties abound here in the Pacific Northwest. It seems most of those rumors may indeed be true.
Chris Jones, currently third in the GMWC's rolling rankings, may be leaving the team for greener pastures at the end of this season. When asked his reasons for possibly ending his relationship with SDL, Chris had this to say. "There are a couple of reasons really. One is the weather here. I mean, I'm from England, I'm used to a little rain now and then, but this is ridiculous. I'm growing webs between my toes! Either that or it's some weird fungus. And Dennis' absence at the track hasn't been a big help either. He's missed three races in a row! And it's not like he's busy or anything. He just sits in his office wearing nothing but flip-flops and boxer shorts, eating corn flakes out of that damn Fangio cup and polishing his gold zeppelin...and I don't mean that as a euphemism for self gratification. He's really polishing those damn gold zeppelins he keeps on his desk! And he's costing us sponsors! I do my best to bring in some big names and he refuses to put any sponsor decals on his car. It's like he thinks he's the reincarnation of Enzo or something! So yeah, I'm thinking of forming my own team and taking my sponsors with me. But, I'll stay with SDL till the end of the season at least. I may be a limey, but at least I'm a loyal limey. Plus, there are some engineers I haven't convinced to jump ship, and I need some time to work on them."
Sources inside SDL have voiced concern over team owner Dennis Loyer's sanity. "The dude's on like six different meds! That can't be good, ya know?” said one unnamed source. Insiders didn't have much to say about the team's financial status, but did confirm that a number of big names have pulled out of sponsorship deals recently, and that with the number of gold zeppelins Mr. Loyer is known to have purchased, the team's ability to finance further research and development might indeed be in jeopardy.
Mr. Loyer was unavailable for comment at press time.
Mr. Loyer's probably emotional and mental state will be reported on in more depth in "The Time's" full color Sunday insert, titled: "The Rise and Fall of a Would Be Racing Empire: Or The Diary of a Racing Mad Man"

Antares Racing announces customer car arrangement with Rusyn Dynamics
By Nancy NewsMaker of the Association of Non-Associated Press International
NewsFlash!
After much confusion over the financial status of Former Grid Motorsports World Cup constructor Antares racing, Doug Baggett announced today that a new arrangement has been signed with Rusyn Dynamics for use of their technology in future Antares race cars.
The Announcement which was done in front of the Antares manufacturing facility in the Mountains of Columbia outside of Bogata was packed with onlookers. Mr. Baggett came out with his arm around AJ "Orang" Weber who had a rather bewildered look on his face. No questions were allowed but Mr. Baggett made a short statement "AJ is a great guy...awesome pal. Never doubted he'd come through!". He also announced that the new Antares headquarters and manufacturing facility would be moved immidiately to the vacation mecca of Stafford, Virginia in the United States
A name change for the team is pending.

Bogata
Since the disappearance of Team founder and president Abe Duarte the former powerhouse Antares racing has been in a tailspin. Creditors and Stockholders recently filed a lawsuit claiming as one anonymous stockholder said "nobody is running the place". Recently I interviewed interim president and race driver Doug "Lightning" Baggett on what is going on at Antares.
Nancy:
Thanks for taking the time to talk with us Mr. Baggett. Can you shed some light as to the current situation at Antares?
Doug:
Situation? What Situation? Leave it up to the press to manufacture something!
Nancy:
Well, the Antares race car as incredibly good as it is has been reportedly not been developed for some time now, your drivers are migrating to other teams and your results in the constructor championship does not seem to be going well over the last season.
Doug:
All of it can be explained. The real issue here is Rusyn. For the longest amount of time they were NOWHERE in the constructor championship THEN all of a sudden our president and founder vanishes without a trace, their cars all of a sudden get some extra speed and our drivers start defecting! I've been doing some digging myself and I'm convinced from some highly reliable sources that Rusyn has Abe kidnapped and bound in a dungeon underneath their cult like compound. It's obvious they've been torturing poor Abe into revealing the secrets of the Antares design and have been incorporating it into their car.
Nancy:
And what of the recent defection of your star driver Celso?
Doug:
As I understand it's probably a blackmail situation. Abe and Celso knew each other pretty well and I'm sure Rusyn intelligence operatives have been using information from their torture sessions to make sure that Celso "understood" what he needed to do and where he needed to go.
Nancy:
What now? How long can Antares survive?
Doug:
Not sure. I've already sold 2 of my 3 hotels/restaurants in Monaco to continue financing and paying the bills. I'll keep the flame going for as long as I can.

Seattle, WA September 8th, 2008 - Long thought "Missing, presumed gone for good", Scuderia DeLoyer team member Cordell Cahill has returned to the fold. "Yeah, we thought he was gone for ever." said team principal Dennis Loyer outside SDL headquarters early this morning. "We spent hours searching for him with no luck. We even followed up on a rumor of a shallow grave in the Carpathian mountains, again with no luck. So we canceled the search, emptied his locker, and sent his old clothes to Good-Will. Odly enough, they sent them back with a threat to sue us if we ever gave them lime green platform shoes again." However, earlier this week, rumors surfaced that "C" has been seen in Chicago's south side. "Turns out he took a wrong turn heading out to Zandvoort and got lost" continued Dennis. "Somehow he ended up in Chicago. We found him on a street corner. He was the fourth man in a Hari-Krishna fusion jazz trio, playing backup tambourine and lead zither. He didn't know his name or where he was from, but once we doused him with racing fuel and fed him a little tire rubber, he snapped right back. However he's stopped calling himself "C". He now goes by Johnny Chimpo, and occasionally refers to himself as TDFKAC [The Driver Formerly Known As C - editor]. But regardless of what he's calling himself now, we're glad to have him back"

Undisclosed location in the Carpathian Mountains
il Corse Gazzetta, formerly the Ministry of Propaganda for race team Corse Perdando Sonno, and now schlepping for Rusyn Performance Dynamics as the Department of Information and Truth has learned that a group of no goods has sabotaged the delivery of the great Ruysn 8c. The group, calling itself the Axis of Just as Evil released a statement deriding the evils of global warming and other maladies such as why is there never a seat cover in public restrooms when you need one. Formerly operating under the names Axis of Somewhat Evil, Axis that isn't the Worst but Certainly Won't be Invited to the Gala and Axis of Not So Much Evil Really As Just Generally Disagreeable, before settling on the Axis of Just as Evil have claimed responsibility as the saboteurs. No one knows the exact whereabouts of the group, but they know they are not. This has been further narrowed down to places they could have been, as well as, places everyone wished they had been when we were so they could have been apprehended.
RPD has said that while the delivery was sabotaged, the actual vehicle is still in good condition. Due to GMWC rulings, Rusyn will not be able to field their car for the season opener at Spa. However, the team would like to thank all the chicken and duck that made testing the new vehicle possible. Neither team principal, AJ "the orangutan" Weber or driver extraordinaire Tom "the greatest thing since artificial sweeteners" Giangreco could be reached for comment.
The team did allow the press to examine the letter and it was immediately notice that the letter was signed simply,

Seattle WA September 3rd, 2008 - SDL team owner, Dennis Loyer, was released today, after being held for questioning about break-ins at GMWC headquarters and Rusyn Performance Dynamics team engineering facilities. "I was sorry to have missed the event at Mid-Ohio on Saturday" said Dennis to reporters this afternoon. "But I was even more disappointed to miss my daily dose of Teletubbies and Hogan's Heroes. Can you believe they didn't have cable in that place? I had to hold on to the antenna and stand on one foot so I could watch Wheel of Fortune! Someone's going to hear about this, I plan on writing a stern letter to my senator, as soon as I get my hands on some paper and some crayons" he continued. When asked if Mr. Loyer was still a person of interest in the earlier break-ins, authorities stated that the investigations had been closed, no charges would be filed against anyone, and that, upon further investigation, it appeared that no crimes had actually been committed.

Win on Sunday, er Saturday, sell on Monday
Mike Redmond has officially joined Rusyn for the 2008C campaign. Sammy Thiels has also informally (no official form submitted yet) indicated intent to use Rusyn machinery (possibly as an Indie to use the kosice-02).
2008C Car
For gyrotek, as1, and as2 usage, Rusyn will continue to use the proven rusyn-8b-g. For helotek usage, the new rusyn-8c, derived from the rusyn-8a, will be used. All factory cars will use the new kosice-03 engine, with increased peak power, but less low end torque.
New Testing Facilities
Rusyn test tracks are available (using the mod manager auto-join feature) for online testing. These tracks are Montreal, Suzuka, and Jacksonville.
Retirees
Matt Steele and Scott are not expected (but are certainly welcome) to make any 2008C starts.

Seattle, WA August 27th, 2008 - Early Wednesday evening, acting on an annonymous tip from a man identifying himself only as "Deep Shag Carpet", authorities took SDL team owner Dennis Loyer into custody as a person of interest in two break-ins last week at Rusyn Performance Dynamics, and GMWC headquarters.
"While there is no evidence that Dennis personally participated in the activities of last week, we do have some questions that only he can answer" said one source. "We have no intention of charging Dennis with a crime at this time, but that option remains in play, and AJ...err the prosecuting attourney has asked that we detain Mr. Loyer until Monday at least."
When asked how this would affect team recruitment efforts at this week's Manufacturer's Showcase, sources inside SDL team headquarters were quick to asure fans and potential new drivers that team driver Chris Jones would be on hand to take Dennis' place as the team representative, and any questions Chris could not answer, would be addressed by Mr. Loyer after his release later next week.

Seattle, WA August 21, 2008 – At a press conference held at their Seattle headquarters, upstart rookie team Scuderia DeLoyer unveiled their new DLR2 for use in the upcoming 2008c season.
"Our engineers worked through some long nights to get the prototype ready for production in time to deliver the DLR2 to Australia this week for customer testing. Since we unveiled the DLR1 at Surfer's paradise, we felt it appropriate to release the DLR2 to the world there as well." Said team owner Dennis Loyer. When asked about the differences between the two chassis, Mr Loyer responded with "...the livery is different...yeah, the livery is really different this season." Despite additional questions from the assembled press, Mr. Loyer refused to elaborate further. Mr. Loyer also refused to comment on rumors of a late-night break in at Rusyn's engineering and design offices three weeks ago.
As stated by Mr. Loyer and other SDL representatives, the DLR2 will be made available for customer testing at Surfer's Paradise this weekend, as well as the Manufacturer's Showcase the following weekend, with delivery of team vehicles expected to occur some time before the showcase, and customer vehicle delivery expected to occur some time before the season's opening points.

ASC Racing has began there Testing for the 2008C Season of Grid Motorsports, and with it comes a new car for the team.
The Current Car: The i984dev was built in such sort notice (a day before the season began) That the team didn't have enough time to work on it and get bugs out of it.
Even though after the Car Shakedowns and Round 1 of the Series things looked great as ASC locked up a 1-2 Finish @ Spa. But once they moved to the new drivelines the car was uncompetitive and was off pace.
"Our real struggle was getting the car to turn, and once we did that the car would spin any time we moved the wheel. Thats why we hope we can get a great car for next season and hopefully begin the same way we did this season." - Justin Amundrud
Also the Team was bought out by W.E.T.A.K.E.Y.O.U.R.M.O.N.EY Banks this August and was eventually relabled "inTech Motorsports"
More information on the new car will be posted later.

Seattle, WA August 15, 2008 - "Some say he can eat 36 weetabix without milk, and that he has sat-nav built into his testicles - all we know is he's called The Stig". So marks a typical introduction to the Power Lap segment of the BBC's popular automotive program, Top Gear. Recent reports from Surrey England, are that a Scuderia DeLoyer team support trailer has been sighted at the now famous Dunsford Park track. Top Gear insiders have confirmed that a prototype DLR2 was delivered earlier this week, and have released a photo from one of the track sessions, clearly showing the The Stig's distinctive white helmet behind the wheel. Those same insiders indicated that team driver Chris Jones, a complete pit crew and various engineers were on hand to provide any needed technical assistance as well as answer any questions during the track session. Top Gear producers and BBC executives had no comment when asked if the DLR2 will be featured in a future Power Lap segment. Team owner and principle driver Dennis Loyer's response, when asked the same question, was "I sorta wondered where Chris had gone with that prototype..."

Seattle, WA August 3, 2008 - Spy photos of a possible new chassis design for Scuderia DeLoyer were released to the public late Saturday night. The photos were taken early last week by a sharp-eyed annonymous photographer at Portland Oregon's Vanport International Raceway - three hours south of SDL's headquarters in Seattle. When asked about the new chassis design, Dennis Loyer, SDL's owner and principle driver, claimed the vehicle in the photos was simply a test mule used to develop and test various components that may or may not make it into a final production design. However, sources inside SDL's engineering team state that the car is not a simple test mule at all, and is in fact a production prototype that's entirely new from the ground up, designed with the 2008C season in mind. These sources claim that not only is a new chassis in development, but a new engine is in the works as well. Sharp eyes will note subtle changes in the new chassis' aero configuration over that of the current season's car as well.
While Dennis and the SDL team's upper management remain steadfast in maintaining their "test mule" story, this reporter believes that these photos show an aggressive and dedicated SDL team making an early assault on their sophomore season.

Seattle, WA June 3, 2008 - In an unprecedented recruitment move Scuderia DeLoyer will be broadcasting a new television ad campaign to reach potential team drivers. "No other team has tried it before, so we thought, what the heck..." said team principal Dennis Loyer outside SDL's headquarters in Seattle today. "We're going to try an initial test run in Wood Buffalo, Alberta Canada; Manokotak Alaska; the Lesser Antilles; and I think we've got some guerrilla broadcasting stations in Ecuador. Depending on the response, we'll try a larger release later this year." When asked how his team funded the new ad campaign, Mr. Loyer was less than forthcoming, "Well the money didn't come from a kickback from the GMWC after the Ridgefield incident if that's what you're asking...that money went to pay off my bookies and buy solid gold zeppelins"

In probably the most shocking development of the offish season (off overlaps with first cup), Rusyn has signed former Ridgefield principle Matt Steele.
Matt will provide value where Rusyn has been sorely lacking on several fronts. First, he will be driving and developing the Rusyn gyrotek package (Moe cheers). In this role he has already submitted chassis design changes to the rusyn-8a-a that will result in the rusyn-8b-g, notably the addition of the Ridgefield diffusor. Second, he will be providing his renowned engine support (gearing, brake mapping, etc) for the kosice-02 engine package. Finally, he will be providing points in the team championship battle.
