North vs South

Sepang that is.

Any chance we can get the track(s) up on the server for practices?  I imagine we're going to run rf2 beta......can't say I'm very impressed with it.  I downloaded the F1 mod that C mentioned and while I could keep it on the road better than the renault f3, it ground down the frame rate viciously.

Anyway, I wanted to figure out what's going on for Saturday, because it's the first time in weeks that I'll be able to race, and I need to practice.

OK, so the poll did not go up in time for any sort of effective choice.  So I'll choose it. :)   Sepang South, because some of our best races over our history have been there.

Hopefully we'll get the server up soon.

Also, this is the last of the poll driven races.  We are going to start a 2012A season soon.  I'll have the schedule released shortly, but the intended start date is Feb 25th.

edit: Oh, and the Sepang race and 2012A will be on rF1.

OK, no problem.

What version of rfactor and what car?

This will allow me to practice offline (Oh, the horror!) until one of the servers wakes up,  - perhaps looking like a Sheeple -

OK, I just saw your edit....no mod forthcoming...just our present GP cars, eh?

Correct, rF1 with the current mod.  That is still the best combo for a season of league racing.  rF2 is beta and limited in even ISI content, and our VWL tires have the base physics gap small enough (except in braking) to justify hanging onto rF1 a bit longer to allow for rF2 to release and mature.  Just use ABS to close the gap the rest of the way.  In the end, it is going to be dynamic track, not physics or graphics, that eventually will tip us over to rF2.

The season will score drivers singly, not as (driver, car) tuples, so people can car jump as much as they like.
