2012A Tentative Schedule

Posted by AJ Weber (Admin) at February 09. 2012
2/25/2012	Surfers Paradise
3/3/2012	Mid Ohio
3/10/2012
3/17/2012	Melbourne
3/24/2012	Sepang Full
3/31/2012
4/7/2012	Sebring Modified
4/14/2012	Shanghai
4/21/2012
4/28/2012	Interlagos
5/5/2012	NHS International
5/12/2012
5/19/2012	Suzuka
5/26/2012	Indianapolis (oval)
6/2/2012
6/9/2012	Montreal
6/16/2012	Paul Ricard

The car will be our GPs on rF1.

This season embraces a higher level of F1 overlap and longer tracks than we've run in a while, just to mix it up a bit.   We also have a few tracks on there with known minor defects (SP, Montreal, Melbourne), but at this late stage in rF1's life...lets just run 'em anyway.

Championship scoring will go back to Saturday only, best feature score per cup.

Note there are SIX cups, not the traditional five.  We expect to run only two seasons in 2012, so they'll be a cup longer.

The Melbourne track we'll use is as of yet undecided.  We need to vet the options.

And yes, you read correctly, there is an oval on the official schedule.  It is Indy on the Indy 500 weekend.  Note that that event will run exactly as any other GP event though.  No special rules for qual, we'll still do a standing start, etc.

Season looks good to me. Can't wait to get back from my bit of self-imposed racing vacation.

I think we've used Sebring a little too much, time for the ax

I dislike Mid-Ohio and Suzuka too, the difference is that we haven't been overusing them.
