EXCUSE ME !!

www.rfactorcentral.com/forum/messageview.cfm

"SirArthurRimshot  (wrote this crap) :

Anyone looking for competitive close, wheel to wheel action and a good league should KEEP WELL AWAY FROM THIS LEAGUE. Too many aids enabled brings a rookie environment mixed with seasoned racers, a bad cocktail. There is no good racing to be had here and admin don't actually care. "

Time for a little responce gangbanger style.

Her's mine :

Well SirArthurRimshot has obviously spent NO time in this league.

Grid Motorsports is a GREAT racing league wide open to ANYONE who wants to race without restriction. Yes, you can race with driving aids or without, we can keep score. We build our own cars as teams or as individuals, and setups are shared openly. We field 15 to 20 drivers on our Saturday feature events and practice servers are always open, and league forums are open and full of chatter.

The Admin here is NOT complacent, and are FULLY involved in the day to day activities of this league, managing everything from weekly updates to acting as a marshal for weekly events while the rest of the league races. A benifit of having a Marshal for the events is that over TeamSpeak we can have subsequent commentary as to the race progress, a truly unique racing experience.

This IS a league for those with a passion for the racing simulation, people in this league are from all over North America, South America, Europe and Australia and we welcome you all.

Now, go get 'em.

Yeah, that is a little uncalled for, I have worked out who wrote this too, and that was Alan Dean!

How can someone who has only taken part in two races say that the league is dull, uncompetitive, and no good racing available?? Well excuse me, I have seen (and been part of) some of the best racing around here at GMWC, and I'm sure I'll have more on the way. Even when my team were on the borderline of being axed, I persisted and carried on enjoying the sport, and I will continue to do so, and I'm sure many more people here will say the same thing.

I'm sure that the same can be said for the other 25 members (not exact number's, that's a rough estimation) of this league, and If Alan does not appreciate this league, then good riddance to him!

This is the only league I have joined, and this will remain the only league I will remain active on.

EDIT: I got my head up my arse over this, we got members here who are barely into their teen's, they may not be brilliant, but they are supported by the league, and their representative team's, yet they don't complain, much like I didn't, I started out in this league using a bloody flight yoke and rudder pedals for god sake, now that's uncompetitive!! and we got someone here who has done barely 1/4 of the season, and has already slagged it off for being in no uncertain words s**t!!

EDIT 2: And to say the admin don't care, bollocks I say to that, their more helpful than Ikea's helpful customer service staff (and they can be very helpful!!)

EDIT 3: And if the league ain't you'r cup of tea, doesn't mean it wont be the same for someone else, again I'm sure 25 other member's of this league cant be wrong, so there's no need to tell the world "YOU DONT LIKE IT!"

EDIT 4: And a comment that I have read wrt us member's and the league.....

"seen the state of half those people that race"

Well I'm sorry, are we not professional enough for you?? I do apologise for not being Eddie Jordan, Ross Brawn, Ron Dennis etc..... We are "down to earth" member's of a friendly, racing based league, that help's to create the league were in. Friendly we are, professional we are not!

All I'm going to say is, he aint going to be missed, that's for sure!!

Well thats highly unnesecary. Ive added my views for public eyes to that RFC topic.

Within these four walls though i'm highly dissapointed that flaming in this way has been done, smacks more of a jumped up teenager. GMWC front pages make it clear what this league is all about.. if you didnt like that then why the hell join. Anyone who doesnt like the leagues philosophy can bugger off and make up the numbers elsewhere.

AJ/Hoss please dont let stupid remarks like this affect what you provide us dedicated members.  These comment get my back up severly so I can only imagine what they do for you, especially given the time and financial investment in providing GMWC for us all.

It was Alan.  And it's pretty cowardly.  It's one thing to say that a league doesn't suit you, but it's juvenile and petty to make the categorical claims that he did, particularly in such a place and in such a way as he clearly intended to publicly besmirch our reputation within the broader community and to try to leave a black mark that would ward others away indiscriminately.

I made my post to that thread, and I intend for that to be my only post.  Please note that it includes a request that league members refrain from inflaming things further.  His was a classic troll post and any extended thread over there is guaranteed to be unconstructive.  Anyone who already posted, that's fine -- don't feel bad about it or anything.

But Alan's obviously got his panties bunched up and isn't going to have any kind of rational exchange over this.  And every post over there is going to goad him further.

And I'm sure he'll be reading this as well.

And he's welcome to chime in here in a civilized fashion if he wishes.  He hasn't officially quit, though that's neither required nor expected.  People come and go and we'll race every week whether he's in or not.
