Skoda series

Just wanted to say thanks to all who supported the mini skoda series the last few weeks, especially Hoss and AJ for seting it up and giving the green light.

I thoroughly enjoyed it and hope we can do it again in the future between seasons. Reaction has been good but if anyone has particular feeback on format and tracks, including future possibilites then let me know.

For me format was good, although maybe having 2 reverse grid races might be better to spice it it more. Tracks were spot on, although Donington didnt quite have the drama of the previos two, think Rockingham was my favorite.

I agree, Matt, is was really good!

I loved the close action racing, and it being a bit of a hair down.  Am annoyed i missed the other courses, especially Brands Hatch.

The GTCC series that will run in between the GMWC cups is very similar to the Skoda mini-series.  It will run a similar format, although there are differences.  The GTCC will not have grid reversals, but will instead have a short qual for each race -- more like our GP heats.  The races themselves will be a little longer than the skoda series: roughly 30 minutes per, measured by lap count, not time.  The biggest difference is that it will be mixed class, not pure Skoda, although there is no reason why Skoda fans cannot just choose to continue to race the Skodas.

yeah looking forward to those as well AJ....  if you schedule an extended off season again though, i'd certainly like to re run the idea of the skodas one make , maybe reduce race length to 10 or 15 mins and add a few extra races in a night so its not too similar to the GTCC multi class championships

Matt -- thanks for organizing and following through on this.  Glad everybody had a good time, and I certainly enjoyed the break  (or I should say, my wife enjoyed being able to schedule things on a couple Saturdays for a change).
