No worries, Sammy.   I hope you didn't feel like you were being unduly penalized -- I was frustrated that you bailed before we could sort out how to best deal with it, since there was still time to clear out the stop-n-go.

It's supposed to be fun.

No need to apologize Sammy.  Was just trying to stay in front of Doug.  Almost got him at the end (even if Doug doesn't think so>!)

No hard feelings mate.

Since this must be the thread for apologies in general, based on the name, I'll put mine here.

Sorry Matt if I left you with the impression that it was your fault or that I thought it was your fault.  You didn't do anything wrong.  I was just generally upset at the bad luck of it, just like I'd be if an engine blew on the last lap while leading.

Now I do have a bone to pick though, but not with you.

I guess I need to repeat myself yet again.  Even though we have no yielding required on blue flags, once you are in fact passed in the act of being lapped, please, please, please, wait a few corners before engaging the car that lapped you.  The problem I've repeatedly described happened to me yet again.  I lapped a car free and clear and on the very next corner I get punted off the track.  If it were not for some Anthony v Doug combat, that would have been the end of my race with Anthony.   And we were close enough in pace today to make for some good racing.  Anyway, the reason I got punted is why lappees should wait a few corners to attack back on the lapper.  Odds are that part of why the lappee is a lappee is because they brake too hard and late.  This scenario will keep happening over and over as long as this recipe stays the same.  The change in recipe we need is for lappees to give a lapper a few corners to gap out once a pass has been made free and clear.

I too had a very bad experience at Laguna,  was "punted" in every race,  when good racing was to be had, ~I was denied it!.  I also wish to apologies for my bad starts and messing up the race starts,  a small problem with my launch control and limiter mix up on my behalf.  As we are all aware that mistakes can and do happen, it's not difficult to yield back position as I had to do, it costs you time but is more courteous and you actually feel better for doing it, whilst maintaining the fun aspect.  There was even somebody driving up the start/finish straight the wrong way???
