2010B Carshape "Registry"

Posted by AJ Weber (Admin) at February 24. 2010

This thread is for teams to disclose the shapes they think they will be running, if they want to.  In the interest of variety on the grid, and that some teams (like mine :) ) would prefer a unique carshape, as opposed to something that looks coolest to me in isolation, sharing what looks team intend to deploy might be useful.  Also, note that what we field for 2010B will likely end up as a cut for rfactorcentral release, which is another motivation for variety (and for quality skins).

And to start it off, the current Rusyn thoughts are low nose, fis-sans sidepod, B rear wing, normal induction, and traditional rollbar.  Front wing will be dictated by budget, and is a significant performance option, so I don't think I'll consider front wing for looks.

Yep that's the one ! Although I haven't tried the rear wings and have the modern rollbar.

I think it's that the height of  the flat tops of the fis-sans matches well with the height of rear body on the standard.

Now see, that's why I started this thread.  Now I'll go back and find some other combo, unless you go with the A rear wing, in which case I think the rollbar and rear wing being different is enough.  :)

(and here I thought the raised/swoopy/airbox combo would be all the rage)

I'm leaning towards old-school...low nose, a-rear wing, boxy sidepods and 70s scoop. Probably with the round-bar roll-bar. Front wing of course depends on whether or not I budget for the flex wing option. What is the budget by the way, do we know yet?
