between seasons

  we are between seasons and many of us are testing the new cars and developing setups generally getting ready for the upcoming races...While we try to prepare Hoss and AJ are buisy doing all that they  do to load the files and prepare the  instillation for our 2010C season. This is my chance to say how much i appreciate what the two of you do  to facilitate my pleasure and enjoyment to race in this atmosphere. Your tireless efforts make GRID what it is and it does not go unnoticed.  You direct the mod in its ever changing course to explore simracing and it has been great fun for me. I have grown to respect and appreciate both of you , Thanks, we do not tell you often enough---sammy

Thanks for the message, that means a lot.

There are frequently times when just the process of managing the mod/league and dealing with short-comings in rFactor or any other tool we use, feels like it overshadows the reason we do this, which is to have fun exploring sim-racing with a unique group of people.  So it helps to hear encouragement like yours, to remind us why we do this and to keep things in perspective.

Yes indeed - there are definitely some uniques here that are highly valuable and much appreciated, with the whole formula system being the real standout.

Actually in the recent survey, I remember grading lots of features but I don't quite remember the black and white categorisation of "things that make this league what it is" and "things that don't".

I'd be happy to expand on that if you'd like - it'll be less structured than the survey of course and entirely subjective

I cannot imagine all that needs to be done on the mod but I only wish that we had the comitment of all our drivers that you give towards us. Yeah there are drivers who cannot make all the times we race and those are usually the regulars anyway, who post their comitment for the season in any case.  I hope the "split" we are going to see will not change the racing numbers in a negative way and hope that our turn outs are actually better. Only reason I hope this (that is over the last 2 seasons) is that we can show the appreciation towards AJ and Hoss for all they do for Gridmotorsports. Thanks a million for everything AJ & Hoss.
