Drivers Meeting:

  • 5 minutes to review rules and policies, and address any last minute event issues.

Sprints:

  • 3 races
  • 4 minute private qual
  • 9 laps
  • standing start
  • 50% damage
  • 3x fuel, 3x tire wear

Feature race:

  • 10 minute private qual
  • 10 minute intermission/warmup
  • 40 laps
  • formation lap + standing start
  • 25% damage
  • 3x fuel, 3x tire wear

 

NOTE: I made an executive decision to switch the sprints to 50% damage (down from the traditional 100%) due to comments in the 2012 season discussion thread.  Sprints do not affect series points, so I see no reason to postpone experimenting with format settings in that respect (i.e. things that don't directly affect the on-going season championships).
