2010C results/standings status
Up to League
I got the first pass of the 2010C standings online, but discovered a couple wrinkles, so don't take them as 'official' just yet.
The worst problem I found is that at least one driver (AJ) was completely omitted from rFactor's XML file upon the completion of the SAT spa race. I mean wtf!!?? rFactor just acted like he wasn't even in the race! This kind of thing has happened at least once in the past, and someone just happened to notice it and we harvested the results file from another client machine that participated in the race.
But this leaves me wondering whether this has happened a lot more than we think, and we just don't notice when it does.
So I added to my TODO list the task of implementing some kind of sanity check in the results scripts that will detect when this happens. Then I can do a full reprocess of *ALL* of our results and hope it doesn't tell me that we have all kinds of latent 'bad' result files.
God I hate rFactor so much.
Have you heard of SLS Hoss?, I don't know if it is easier to manage than your own methods, but I think the XML problem will still be there anyway and someone is bound to have the file on their machine, I did have a quick look Sunday and did see AJ's name among the data.
Thanks Hoss for taking the time getting the correct results in. I have a small query though, as Nico didn't actually join M-Sport or submit a vehicle form, should he still collect team points for them after his win at Spa?.
