Now I'm guessing that this so called "football" might involve men wearing hats and with shoulder pads like an episode of Dynasty - but for proper Football, we could get a league going at http://fantasy.premierleague.com

I take a hands-off approach to management - 15 random selections at the start of the season and then let fate decide ! That policy was good enough to get me into the top third of the league at work, so sometimes fate is kind.

Yes, by 'football', he means HandOvoid.

Apparently the steroid-gulping millionaires managed to come to terms with their billionaire overlords and avoid a 'work stoppage' that surely would have cratered civilization as we know it.
