I found this unbelievable story. People dancing in the Jefferson Memorial and get arrested brutally by the police.

This shows it from the peoples perspective.

Ladies, this isn't your grandpappy's United States of America.

Around my house, we refer to it as the United States of Hypocrisy.  And it's CTD (circling the drain) in case anyone hadn't noticed.

Wow
Im serious, I wanted to provoke a bit. I didnt thought there would be reactions like this.
When Im surfing through the iRacing forums, Im always astonished how brainwashed many US Americans are. Many ppl dit not realise what really happens in their countries.
In germany, our media landscape is trying to do the same with us but we are willing to look behind the scenes. People are realising the things are different than they try to tell us.
But the Germans are a lazy bunch of people. I dunno what it needs to happen here that we go on the streets to demonstrate.

I used to live in Northern Virginia, and if I still did, I'd go on Saturday.

If you go, be sure to wear some GMWC garb. :)

edit: incidentally, the policemen themselves are not really the bigger problem there.  They were enforcing broken law with broken consequences (I am not sure what their guidelines were, so I don't know how over zealous they may  or may not have been).  It is the law, and the framework, loss of checks and balances in that framework, and too much centralized power behind that framework, that is resulting in that sort of law and loss of freedom that is the problem.  Note too this is a great data point that is neither 'left' nor 'right', and shows the problem is systemically deeper than any delta in current parties can resolve.
