Falling Skies premier = BORING

Ok. I TiVO'd it, and by God I watched 5 min and fast forwarded stopping every 15 min (watched the entire thing in 20 min). I can honestly say there was NOTHING but a shot of the Alien ship planted in Boston looking from a distance that made me want to stop.
I felt insulted. How could this pass for TV..even in the state TV is right now this is drek. It's worse than that. It's boring. Torture boring. I mean, I had more fun watching "Shark Tank" and "Extreme Couponing" than this awful piece of crap (and I LIKE Science Fiction). It's V without the cheese (and I skipped that after 20 min too). I simply can't believe Spielberg put is name on it. I wonder if he even watched it.
Yeah, I've whittled it down to mostly just sports. But I did record the Skies pilot, in the hopes that it'd be worthwhile. Haven't watched it yet, but Doug's diatribe has me doubting I should even bother.
The pilot, actually the first two episodes were painfully slow, kinda reminds of what Neil Young said about 1 of his song,
"It sort of starts out slow . . . then peters out all together."
However, I'll more than likely watch the series again . . . (sigh).
television . . . ain't it wonderous.
Besides, what's better than "An Idiot Abroad" ??
