Avanti MRDC !
Don't be concerned, my knowledge of the phrase "Come on, MRDC !" in foreign languages is now exhausted. But having botched up my Spa attempt last week, the pressure is on. Which is a shame cos I hate Monza and so have managed to avoid all previous runnings in my tenure here in the GMWCGPFC (Sat edition).
Understeer. That's what we have. Oh, and dodgy brakes. The ideal combination for this track.
I suppose the good news is, once I've messed up this weekend as well, I can stop worrying about defending my previous performance of 5th place in the (a) DC and focus on development.
Anyhoo, I've assumed we want low wings here - on our super-slippy mobile you can get 320+kph with a 15 rear wing so that's probably a reasonable start point.
I'm not 100% certain I'll be attending - I'm out on a family do on Saturday, and although I had assumed I'd be back in time, it's now dawned on me that that may be a false premise.

Everyone asumes low wings at monza, if your car can handle it then yea, but Monza is a fast circuit and has fast turns, turns that need downforce to hold you tight through them.
Nope - I may try and get an hour on it this evening, so I'll send over anything I have.
If our problem is understeer at lower speeds, you'd think we'd add more mechanical grip up front. But I don't really want to do that on the new setup, cos that's the key characteristic of the existing SOFT set. One of the objectives of the new setup is to try to avoid the understeer problem with a better L-R transition.
Although I suspect the odds are against me racing tomorrow, Monza's not such a bad place to try to solve that setup problem as the chicanes bring it to the fore.
Perhaps a little better. I think my problem is as much with the brakes as anything else. Sticking the ABS back on seems to help me quite a lot.
