Antares 09b - draft skin released for review

Great race yesterday, team!

We had decided yesterday that at next season Antares will have common skin to our members.

It will make easier to identify our team.

Each one will have his name, national flag and car number.

I did adjust the standard mclaren88 skin.

Based on the fact that Antares is indeed celestial star and it is very bright / yellow, with red and black spots, I did change the colours.

Please review it.

You can find there:

1) PSD formats. I did change all the key elements to have layers. Much easier to update.

2) PNG formats - the ones you need to place at skingen.

There are many improvements to be done.

- How I can change the white surface (over the radiators)??? I could not find them at the skins!

- What color for the front wing and rear wings?

- Should we replace the Goodyear, Malboro and Shell for new partners. Any idea? I did add (at rear wing) the company I work for  (Delphi).

  I like what you are doing---I have a few suggestions---I would at least have two skins to choose from----in this one i would stay with two colors---the wing looks like its from another car---try useing the default sceem and changing the white to your yellow and the red to black that would make a nice car i think---Mike wanted brite colors in keeping with modern trends---try making the red a purple and the white a gold that would preserve your logos and make a brite nice car---no one in the league has those colors and they would stand out---a yellow car will blend in with the others and kinda defeat the reason we are doing this----its pretty bland---i would like much brighter colors for my taste---maybe we should go to our own skin designs and just have some sort of Antares tag---sammy

Sammy, Mike - if you want personal skin design - no issue at all.

It would be great to have common skin.

You are able, using GIMP 2.6 for example, to change it.
I agree the colours must be improved. If you have some free time, please help me to swap colours.

PS - I can not find the texture/png for the radiator cover. it is still white...

Extra0 is the png you are looking for.  You have it listed as 'windshield 1' in your list, but it is really the single-color png for those areas that are currently still white for you.  Extra1 is the only windshield png.

Here are some shot of what I've got - basically a very dark blue with yellow...what I'd do is replace the current Antares with the team logo found on the season wiki beside our names.  Also, yes, I'd like to see more modern sponsers, and actually, I'll be adding our little company's logo to my car for sure.
