Wheels and Pedals
Up to Computing & Gaming
That other thread has already gone way out of scope for something that might be nice to look nicer in a search.
So I'll reboot it here.
Wheels? Pedals? Favorites. Opinions. Facts. Testimonials.
Here is a little starter on what are probably the primary options around right now:

That is a pure wheel test, as they use the clubsport pedals with all wheels. We can talk pedals on this thread too though.
Part 1 is mostly iRacing stuff and a little just raw timing at the end on wheels. Raw laptime tests are sort of silly, because as we've already shown, turning FFB off altogether often has a laptime advantage. Part 2 is more interesting, because in this case opinions, more mor precisely, how and what each guy says in his opinion, is a little more useful in deciding what one might like best. Of course it would be better to try each for real, but we cannot buy them all to test what to buy, so like movie reviews, these sorts of reviews help us make decisions about what to buy. (Having said that, I have two of those wheels, and sorta a third, the DFP being close to a DFGT. We also have 2 G25s at work, and the RS is very close to a 911S, so I'm fortunate to have had something close to the same test spread as them).
Part 2 starts the wheel segment at minute 16.
And if she interviewed me, my favorite wheel would probably be the DFGT, although I cannot say for sure, because my main argument against the G25 was the buttons, and the G27 has more buttons. I still think 6 on the wheel is not enough though, so I'm guessing the DFGT would still win for me.
Logitech Driving Force EX - 16 buttons
2 pedals
Very solid wheel, good grip even under excessive sweating. Also has very accurate ffb effects with realfeel plug in. Only down side is I can't have ffb too high.
Old......... MOMO wheel and pedals. Nice starter set, but unfortunately it only lasted about a year and a half. The wheel developed a nasty dead zone at the center. Hard to keep it straight. No problems with the pedals tho.
New....... G27 I love this wheel. Very nice FFB, quiet motors, solid feeling paddle shift, lots of buttons when you have the gear shift close by. I don't mind having the gear shift close as I love having the additional buttons and "D" pad controls close by. I use the paddle shifter for gear changes. I also like the brake pedal much more than the MOMO set. Much more resistance and easier for me to modulate. Haven't used the clutch pedal much yet.
Only bad point is I find the wheel to be a bit skinnier than the MOMO. May even try putting on a wheel wrap to thicken it up a bit.
