I think this episode is behind us finally.

There's a shiny new 'emergency' gigabit switch humming along in place of the shiny and only slightly not-new gigabit switch that apparently had a shelf life of about 6 months.

How difficult is it to make network hardware that doesn't crap out?!  Seriously.  They do one thing and have no moving parts, how f'ing hard can it be.

Only the practice server is back online -- I've left the others down for now because I'm going to be doing some infrastructure work tonight anyway and that'll make it easier.
