Preseason Scrimmage

by AJ Weber [posted 2009-04-07 14:14]

Description

This format is typically used as the first event of a new season.  It consists of a sequence of identical, short, races.  The idea is to provide a opportunity to teams and members to try their cars out in actual races before they start to count for the championships.

Schedule

  1. drivers meeting (~5 minutes at the start of the event)
  2. sprint races

Sprint Races

  • a short, timed, qualifying session (~10 minutes)
  • standing start
  • a fixed length race lasting about 10 minutes (the lap count for the race is adjusted according to track length)
  • the results of each sprint contribute to the league rolling rankings
  • damage is set to 100%
