Vehicle Decals
explanation of the vehicle decals used by the league
Introduction
The league uses a custom decal system that assigns decals to the vehicle of each driver in the league, based on that driver's career and season stats (as tracked by the league's results database). This page displays each decal (or category of decal, as some are generated procedurally) and explains both its meaning and the details of its assignment.
Championship Decals
Driver Championship

This is assigned to the vehicle of the reigning Driver's Championship (DC) winner. It remains on that driver's vehicle for the duration of the current season (i.e. until the next DC winner is determined). |
This is assigned to the vehicle of the reigning Driver's Championship (DC) 2nd place finisher. It remains on that driver's vehicle for the duration of the current season. |

This is assigned to the vehicle of any driver who is the reigning champion of any of the 5 GMWC Season Cups. The 'pie' will have each region filled that corresponds to the cup in which the driver is the reigning champ. Going clockwise, the cups are: Fangio, Senna, Clark, Andretti, Brabham. The decal remains on that driver's vehicle until such time as they are no longer the reigning champion for any cup. |
Special Event Championships
The league season is interspersed with events that are (mostly) independent from the driver championship and team championship schedule. Each of these events is called a 'special' and is assigned one or more categories. The winner of these events is awarded the decal that corresponds to each of the categories assigned to the event.

Fault Rankings
This is assigned to the vehicle of the driver currently occupying the top spot in the fault category of the rolling rankings. The top spot indicates that this driver has the best (lowest) fault rating of all of the drivers. This is a good thing. This decal will remain on that driver's vehicle for as long as they retain the top spot in the fault rankings. |
This is assigned to the vehicle of each and every driver currently possessing a fault rating of 1.0 or greater in the rolling rankings. This is a bad thing. This decal will remain on the driver's vehicle until such time as their fault rating drops below 1.0. If there are no drivers with a fault rating at or above 1.0, then the decal will be placed on the single driver whose fault rating is the highest (worst). |
