Turn Notes

Turn Description Entry Apex Exit Gear Comment
1  Right  RED  AMBER  AMBER  4  Super precise on very high speed entry. Into the apex a little earlier it seems that at other SIlverstone mods, but then it seems wider on the exit, so power on for the run down to ...
2  Left  Green  Green  Green  5  easy left
3  Right  AMBER  RED  RED  2  300kph on approach into 2nd gear turn, very easy to run wide, so make sure the turn in is not too early

Stowe - seems wider than in later revisions, so faster through this

Club - hard to see in advance, so ready to go a little earlier than you expect. There's space on the inside

Some braking required on entry but there's space for experimentation here, the objective is to be good the second part of the complex - T9

A key corner - exit speed is critical but a wrong line will you have in the sand. So not too fast, not too tight into the apex

Key Risks and Opportunities

This fast, sweeping tack requires precision and the maintenance of momentum.

Risks of running wide on some of the slower corners. Beckett;s (turn 3) in particularly seems to be very slippery if you get off track. That means if you do go wide or spin and end of the grass, be careful how you get going again. It;s easy to turn a small mistake into a 20 second loss.

Tyre wear seems very moderate here, so a 1 or 2 stop strategy looks like the choice here.

There are a couple of opportunities for braking from high speed to (>300kph) at Turn 3 and again at Turn 8.
